This question always makes me stop; and think. Caught up in the busyness of the day to day it’s hard to tune into the bigger questions – what is it all about? What tiny ripple will I have left in the world when I no longer am?
We spend a lot of time chasing things we think we want or need however the people that really make an impact surely are the ones that help others. In big or small ways tiny acts of care make it all worthwhile.
What has got me onto this train of thought? We have just returned from delivering a photobook we created for a wonderful lady called Pamela. However this was no ordinary photobook! Her daughter hired us to capture Pamela’s 90th birthday party and as well as the imagery that I captured George spent the afternoon recording the well wishes that each guest had for Pamela. These words were then included in the photobook and what a read they make! This lady is someone who will definitely be remembered for her acts of generosity and kindness.
Very inspirational! And mostly because my feeling is that being kinder is achievable – I don’t need to retrain or have a bigger house or wait for a promotion at work. I just need to be aware of those around me and start small…”anyone want a cuppa?
